DAvid huff — music director (he/him/his)

Dr. David Huff is a musician and sound engineer who has worked in the Denton area since 1996. He is an alumnus of the University of North Texas College of Music, where he earned a masters and Ph.D. in music theory. David grew up in Killeen, Texas, where he was baptized in the Methodist church and began a long career as a church singer and instrumentalist. Through his classical training paired with his experience playing in bands from age 14, David straddles the musical line between tradition and progression, bringing a combination of expertise and imagination to the Open Worship experience. He plays several instruments, including the bass, piano, trombone, and our favorite—the Stick! He’s been part of our Open community since the very beginning and helps us create and shape music in worship.
